Winter Galvanized Tiered Tray

Good morning!
It is definitely snowman season here! We finally got our first real snow of the season ..
I love to decorate this tiered tray from Sam's Club ( about 3 years ago) for the seasons... It is filled with snowmen.. most of them found at thrift stores and church rummage sales.. The red and blues fit right in with the "Let It Snow Bungalow" hanging on the wall...

It gets moved between the center of the kitchen table to the counter... I love it on the table with the hutch behind it..There is the Winter Seasons in chalk hanging on the dining room wall..
A little chalkboard sits front and center..Lots of buffalo check ribbon ...greenery.. red berries and even some cotton branches..
The little snowman on the doily was a gift from my sister in law this year .. he is cute !
Santa mugs, 2 strands of battery operated lights and painted mason jars..
Thanks so much for your visit ! have a great week!

January!

 Happy Saturday!
I finished stitching this Classic Colorworks/Little House Needleworks January a couple days ago and had to get it finished and displayed on the chicken wire box the other months have gone on!
It is in the foyer on a vintage scale and looks so pretty!
I mounted it on sticky board.. mounted red gingham on sticky board and used magnets and sheet metal to attach to the box.. The inside of the box is filled with winter picks with lots of red berries and pine cones..I made a bow with red ticking , buffalo check and plaid ribbons..

Winter on the Farm Mantel

Good morning!
The mantel is all spiffied up for winter!

The chalkboard has a barn and a little pond out front with a skater and a couple chickens!

I left the cotton branches and the white and light green garlands up from Christmas .. took out the red ribbons and vintage trucks.. A few chickens and a cow with some little trees and it is complete..
Added ice skates to each end ...

The snowman tree stays up until the middle of February..
The lights on the mantel and on the tree make it so much less gloomy on these dreary January days!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter ABC'S

 Happy Tuesday!
I finished stitching the Winter ABC'S from Little House Needleworks last night and got it all mounted and displayed on this vintage shutter..I used this for the Autumn ABC'S and will use it for

The remaining 2 seasons...I found the chippy vintage shutter at an antique shop ..( the chicken knob and the white knobs were on it) I used ribbon glued to the back of my project to attach it to the shutter.. There is a magnet on top to attach the bow and picks ..
It is so hard to get good photos of this one.. the white stitching shows up great in person but not in photos.. I think my kitchen is too bright.. Maybe on a cloudy day I can get some better pics and replace these..
I used some plaid ribbon for the bow and added a pick on each side of evergreens ..pine cones.. and red berries.. I took one of the ice skate ornaments off the ice skate tree and hung it from the chicken knob..
I pieced together pieces of sticky board since it doesn't come in a big enough length.. it worked out fine, and you cannot tell where it is pieced together..

The design is adorable and I love the colors!
I stitched it on 28 count light grey Monaco that I Tea /coffee dyed...and used the called for Classic Colorworks threads.. I used red ticking for the back that it is mounted on..

Forest Snowfall Wreath

 Happy New Year!~
I have  had a busy week taking down Christmas and getting the winter decor out.. I did manage to finish this Forest Snowfall from Country Cottage Needleworks yesterday!
I had this flocked wreath hanging on my basement door after I took down the Christmas wreath and decided it was the perfect place for the Forest Snowfall piece! This was a stitchalong with Chelsea and I that started on December 28.. It was a fun, fast and pretty piece to stitch!
I mounted it on sticky board.. and then mounted a piece of red ticking on sticky board.. glued those 2  pieces together and then glued a long piece of ribbon on the back to tie it to the wreath .. Much easier than gluing.. I wanted the red since I love blue and red together for winter..It is stitched on  28 count light blue evenweave that I tea / coffee dyed..
I added a little battery opperated glitter house to the top with lots of white snowy looking picks.. a couple of pinecone pics and red plaid ribbon..It is so pretty and looks like the perfect winter wreath!
